Speaker Introduction:
Liu Liang,Associate professor,graduated fromTianjin Medical College in 1995 and worked in Tianjin Children's Hospital. In1997, he received a master's degree in neurophysiology from Capital MedicalCollege, a doctor's statistics degree of Ohio State University in 2006, and apostdoctoral research in the Edwards Laboratory of Harvard University during2006-2009. He acted as an assistant Professor of Delaware State Universityduring 2010-2011 and Assistant Professor of Department of Statistics inUniversity of Georgia during 2011-2016, and Associate Professor of Departmentof Statistics, University of Georgia since 2016. Mainly engaged in the study ofthe species evolutionary random model, he is good at remodeling theevolutionary history of species through mathematical models and molecularsequences, and the application of corresponding mathematical models in the fieldsof medicine, epidemiology, linguistics and so on. He has outstandingaccomplishments in the fields of biostatistics, bioinformatics, molecularevolution and so on, and presides over the National Science Foundation of theUnited States many times.He has published 53 SCI papers , 2 of these were inScience (1 was published in Science by the first author in 2015), 1 in NatureCommunication, 5 in the Proceedings of the American Academy of Sciences (2 bythe first author in 2017), and were awarded distinguished papers award of the academy for systemsbiology.
