SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

    Upholding the development mode centered on quality improvement, aiming at the international academic frontier, concentrating on the national strategic needs and regional industrial planning, the College enhances its strategic layout and core competitiveness of scientific research.

    The College has 3 Zhejiang provincial key sci-tech innovation teams: Sci-tech Innovation Team of Modern Agricultural Equipment & Facility Industry, Sci-tech Innovation Team of Plant-based Food Processing and Sci-tech Innovation Team of Facility Aquaculture Engineering & Equipment Industry; 2 MOA outstanding scientific researchers and their ministerial innovation teams: Innovation Team of Facility Agricultural Equipment & Intelligent Control and Intelligent Agricultural Equipment Innovation Team. The College also manages the National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory of Intelligent Food Processing Technology and Equipment, MOA Key Laboratory of Agricultural Environment Engineering and Intelligent Equipment, MOA Key Laboratory for Agro-Products Postharvest Handling，MOA Key Laboratory of Agricultural Products On Site Processing Equipment, MOA Key Laboratory of Spectroscopy Sensing, MOA Laboratory of Quality & Safety Risk Assessment for Agro-products on Storage and Preservation (Hangzhou), Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory for Agro-food Processing and Zhejiang provincial Engineering Laboratory of Food Processing Technology and Equipment.

    Since the “11th five-year plan”, the College has been undertaking over 900 scientific research projects, including over 140 national projects of China National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists, National “973”Program, National “863” Program, National Sci-Tech Support Plan and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The accumulated research funding has exceeded 50 million. Outstanding research achievements have won 2 second prizes of National Awards for Invention, 4 second prizes of National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, 1 first prize of MOE Awards for Invention, 1 first prize of MOE Prize for Progress in Science and Technology and 5 first prizes of Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Award. The College faculty and students have published over 1400 SCI articles, including over 450 Top Journal articles, and holds over 780 Licensed Patents.
