On April 26-27, 2019, the third Chinese Aquatic Science andTechnology Conference, called “the Davos forum of aquatic industry”, was heldin Chengdu Tongwei International Center. With the theme of "Science andTechnology enabling Innovation driving Quality and Fishing", thisconference presented the progress of cutting-edge science and technology aswell as the achievements of scientific research, and share the achievements ofresearch, development and application. More than 800 guests, from more than 400units, such as fishery authorities, universities, research institutes andfishery aquatic enterprises, gathered in Rongcheng for industrial future development.Prof. Zhu Songming and Prof. Ye Zhangying, BEB team leaders of Institute of Agricultural Bioenvironmental Engineering, ledJin Guang, a postdoctoral student, Huang Xiaoling, a master candidate, andother students were invited to attend the conference.

In order to set up and award industry icons andencourage innovation-driven development, the "2019 Chinese Aquatic Scienceand Technology Conference Award Ceremony" was held ceremoniously. Thejudging panel composed of aquatic authority and enterprise representatives,selected the "Top ten Outstanding Contribution Awards" of China'saquatic industry, based on the comprehensive evaluation of scientific andtechnological innovation, industry contribution, etc. The BEB team from the Instituteof Agricultural Bio-Environmental Engineering (IABE), Zhejiang University wonthe “2019 Chinese aquaculture industry top ten outstanding contribution award”,and obtained grand recognition by the generalassembly, because they "committed to building a cooperation platform tocreate intelligent fishery aquaculture equipment, as well as research anddevelopment of modern fishery aquaculture models, so as to continuously cultivateoutstanding talents for China's aquaculture industry facing modernization, theworld and the future.

This session held the "New Aquaculture Model and BlackBox Recycling Aquaculture sub-Forum" for the first time. The experts had aheated discussion on the topics of three-stage facility aquaculture model andtechnical equipment, the progress in research and application of facilityecological aquaculture under tongwei "Fish light integrated" model,and the application of black science and technology in aquatic fish fry andaquaculture. Prof. Zhu Songming and Prof. Ye Zhangying from the BEB team of theInstitute of Agricultural Bioenvironmental Engineering were invited asimportant guests to attend the meeting. They introduced the research work on"Three-stage facility aquaculture model and technical equipment" and"Establishment and optimization of aquaculture mode" respectively. Post-doc.Jin Guang from BEB team was invited to be the moderator of this sub-forum.

In 2019, the BEB team will continueto strive for development and achieve win-win cooperation with variousenterprises and scientific research institutions in the aquatic industry toachieve greater achievements!
