The research by Prof. Xie Lijuan's team of our college “Terahertzendoscope suitable for intestinal tract lesion inspection and inspection methodthereof” was granted the U.S. patent authorization (US patent No.:US10568494 B2, authorization date: February 25, 2020).

The invention disclosed a terahertzendoscope suitable for intestinal tract lesion inspection and an inspectionmethod. The terahertz endoscope includes a combined tube body inserted into anintestinal tract, a terahertz signal enhancement module, a terahertz inspectionmodule, and a real-time imaging module.

The terahertz endoscope and inspection method could be used foraccurate inspection of intestinal of intestinal tract lesions in early stage,thereby improving the inspection accuracy and sensitivity. The terahertzendoscope is capable of obtaining rich information, and has a compactstructure, easy operation and wide applicability.
